Our Story
History
The roots of our Farm were planted over a 100 years ago. The land where Bella Valle Farm currently sits
today was once a very productive Holstein dairy farm. The Dubois family owned and worked the dairy farm for decades. Generations of the Dubois family cared, nurtured, and loved the farm.
Since the Dubois family were responsible stewards of the farm, much of the land is graded organic soil;
no pesticides, fertilizers, or insecticides have been used in over forty years..
New Beginnings
Bella Valle is once again a family-owned farm. Carol and Ed always dreamed about owning a farm. Carol never let go of their dream. When the opportunity to purchase the farm presented itself, Carol saw their dream begin to take shape. Carol purchased the farm so she could pass on her family’s North Carolina farming legacy to her family in New York. Carol wanted to share her love for the land,
the smell of freshly tilled earth, and the joy of a bountiful harvest with her family.
So, Carol’s niece and nephew, Michael & Leslie Maione, plant, harvest, oversee and manage Bella Valle Farm. They share Carol’s love for the farm and land, the beautiful views, the aroma of fresh soil, and the satisfaction of working hard and yielding a bountiful harvest.
Eva, "The Farm Dog" loves it too!
